    COMMONWEALTH SHORT STORY PRIZE 2017

    The Commonwealth Short Story Prize is an annual award for the best unpublished short story (fiction) of about 2000-5000 words organised by the Commonwealth Writers. The prize was first awarded in 2012 by the Commonwealth Foundation to encourage and connect writers and upcoming writers across the commonwealth nations, who have published or unpublished works.
    Writers have the opportunity to tell their own stories their own ways, in their own languages, and on any topic of their choice.

    OBJECTIVE
    The prize aims to bring writing from the Commonwealth countries to the attention of the international audience.

    PRIZE
    Overall Winner £5,000 (Selected from the regional winners)
    Regional Winners £2,000 each.

    PRIZE REGION
    Commonwealth regions includes countries in: Africa, Asia, Canada/Europe, the Caribbean and the Pacific. See a list of Commonwealth Countries.

    PANEL OF JUDGES
    The Panel of Judges is an international body comprising one judge from each of the five Commomwealth regions – Africa, Asia, Canada/Europe, the Caribbean and the Pacific.

    You story should be in any of the following formats: pdf, txt, rtf, doc, docx

    Ist November, 2016 (11:59pm all time zones). No entry after the above date will be accepted.

    ENTRY FEE
    No entry fee is charged
